Jesus came in order to save his people from sin. How is this salvation accomplished? Some people plotted to kill Jesus, one disciple betrayed him, and the other disciples abandoned him and fled. In the midst of all this, in accordance with God’s will Jesus steadfastly advanced toward the cross. This brings us to the final part of the Gospel of Matthew.
